This weekend we will be celebrating a friend's 2nd birthday. Gavin is the son of wonderful friends of ours. They resisted the temptation of throwing an "over the top" first birthday. While #2 will have more structure than Gavin's first birthday, I have a feeling it'll be pretty low-key.
Then we'll meet new friends and go to a quiz night. I liken this to when parents take their kids on play dates. We're going on a play date, but with adults we don't really know. Hopefully it's like pub quizes in British pubs.
