So it's the end of September and I hear rumors of other parts of the United States experiencing fall - cooler nights, changing of the leaves, etc. Not us in Pasadena! Currently as I write this, the temperature is 99 degrees F (37C) and will easily get to triple digits today. YUCK. Way too hot!
Anyway, I digress... Paul and I have had an active September. We buried my beloved grandmother, Victoria, and then less than a week later, I was in England. Paul arrived two days after me. I went early to hang out with my in-laws. It was wonderful! Pat brought me to Windsor castle and Oxford. Paul wasn't happy I bought an Oxford sweatshirt, but relented since I bought it from the one his brother went to. I spent two fabulous nights with Clare and Craig, who were so warm and fun to be with. And got to spend time with our future nephew, Alex. If you were around our wedding, you didn't miss meeting Alex. He's a delightful kid and I really am looking forward to watching him grow-up. I had a FUN champagne lunch with my gorgeous sister-in-laws and fun shopping. Craig (my future-brother-in-law) and I went to Litchfield Cathedral, and really enjoyed our jaunt.
Paul was questioned at customs why he was only traveling with a backpack and was happy to announce that his wife was his "sherpa" and had brought everything ahead of time.
We've also welcomed a new sister-in-law to the family, Rebecca. Becky and John were married last Saturday and it was fun to get together with the family. Hard to believe Paul and I are already 5 months into wedded bliss ourselves! ha!
The last weekend in September will bring time at home as we relax and continue to adjust back to California time. We will get together with our new friends for a pub quiz styled party on Saturday. And hope to workout in the Rose Bowl pool too.
Our pictures will be posted soon.
We also are awaiting Cousin Bernard's arrival on the last day of September so get ready for a post about our shenanigans in October!
Hope all is well with you.
Big hugs.
