Follow up on the Weekend

Paul and I had a great weekend with friends and family. Friday we went to a private dinner that a Pasadena chef was holding. Tasting menu wasn't my style (lots of fish), but the company was great and it was fun trying something different.

Saturday Sara and Scott arrived and we took them to Wurstkuche for lunch. This was definitely a winner for all. But how can you go wrong with Beer and Brats (though only Paul had the Beer). :)

Next we all walked over to Little Tokyo to see what we could see and then drove over to Olvera Street (oldest street in Los Angeles) for some Mexican action. We had a ton of fun.

Saturday night Paul and Scott relaxed and played xbox until it broke and Sara and I got our nails done.

Sunday found us all sleeping in and then going to La Mirada (a town nearby) to visit Grandma Garcia. Grandma fell last week and is now in a nursing home. She is a wonderful, loving lady. We are currently on borrowed time with her. She slept the whole time we were there, but it was good to see her and tell her we love her. Really glad we were able to go.
