I got it in my head I wanted to make jam. This is related to the local, seasonal, organic vegetable/fruit delivery we are now receiving weekly. I saw we could get a 20 lbs of peaches for $10. Cheap and so yummy sounding. I don't know if it's the Minnesota in me or almost-4-months-wifey. Anyway, we've made and canned jam (some of you will be receiving a jar). We've done it in 3 batches this month (August '09) - all a little different. So far we've only tried batch one and it is FANTASTIC. I mean, really, can you go wrong with peaches, a bunch of sugar (and I mean A BUNCH), and pectin??
